Im currently looking into CoH voices in order to use them as replacement for MoW unit voices. #MEN AT WAR ASSAULT SQUAD 2 OR COMPANY OF HEROES 2 MOVIE#I agree that CoH has much better audio and is more "fluid", but I made some mods to deal with crappy music, cheesy main menu movie as well as problem with HORRIBLY loud ambient noises. I would advise to use stock MoW for DCG as that version has MUCH more units available. Also DCG is based on reading one special save (one you direct it to) to determine what happened in battle, so it is very easy to cheat (no point IMHO), and its easy to make a stupid mistake and saving game again. The soldier names in store screen are just path to soldier folder (devs said it will be fixed in the future). Of course DCG is not without cons, you cant edit soldiers inventories (but you can reset them to restock their equipment). However do not use it in SP vanilla campaign as it was created for vanilla values with renders missions unwinnable or complete nightmares if you use the mod. #MEN AT WAR ASSAULT SQUAD 2 OR COMPANY OF HEROES 2 MOD#Campaign screen is very basic as campaigns are simply game maps put together, but if you squint and look at it at the right angle its bearable.ĭCG also comes with realism mod that for the most part gives more sight and weapon range and makes things more realistic. No base building, no unit spamming, only consequences of YOUR decisions.Īlso you have the power on campaign map as well and you can command other units on with sectors to attack and such. If all your soldiers get mowed down, then tough luck, you lost the battle. A light tank appeared and you only have infantry? Well hope to god that AT grenade hits. ![]() So you can send a cannon fodder infantry squad to scout the area and then call in tanks and stuff once you make sure that area is clear.Īctually I especially love the idea of only having units you bought before battle, it REALLY makes you think outside the box if things go south. You can set up your own reinforcements (you have pre battle planner screen) using units you bought. So you could buy Panzer I in 1940 and carry it ALL the way to 1945 (for what purpose I dont know, but its good anti-infantry vehicle). This is important as units are available only in dates they were actually produced (+rarity). Also all campaigns takes place in timeline, so if you end one campaign in 1st March 1940 then you can play only after this date (unless you restart). ![]() After you win campaign you can start new one and carry over the units. You gain more units to command if you win whole campaign. You have persistent units you buy between missions for points you earn by completing objectives and destroying enemy units. Gentlemen, I give you the Dynamic Campaign Generator: You see, while the vanilla version lacks skirmish the modders created something that makes CoH looks like kiddie game. Ah, you people do not know the TRUE magic of Men of War.
